Bill Thayer

Bill Thayer is the webmaster of LacusCurtius, one of the world's oldest and largest web repositories of classical Greek and Latin texts, in both the original language and in translation (usually English); the site also includes books and journal articles, entries from encyclopedias and dictionaries, and other secondary material, as well as firsthand pages on towns, churches, and Roman remains in central Italy; and a large section on American history, mostly military and naval.
