Feresnes

The remains of ancient walls were discovered in the river Meuse near Stokkem. They can be identified with the late-ancient fort Feresnes, which is shown on the Peutinger map. Unless the river is partly redirected, it will not be possible to excavate the site. Yet divers may one day do some research. Another possible location of Feresnes is Lanklaar.
