- Summer 20 BCE: Born as son of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa and Julia, daughter of Augustus)
- 17: Adopted by Augustus
- 13: Organizes, together with Tiberius, games
- 12: Augustus offers games in honor of Gaius and his brother Lucius Caesar
- 12 Death of Agrippa; Julia marries Tiberius
- 8: Visit to Gaul
- 7: Organizes, together with Gnaeus Piso, games
- 6: Made priest
- Crisis in Armenia, the pro-Parthian king Tigranes IV had come to power
- 1 BCE: Marries Livilla; travels to the East (in his company are Marcus Lollius, Publius Sulpicius Quirinius, Sejanus, and Velleius Paterculus)
- Meeting with king Phraataces of Parthia on an island in the Euphrates.note
